Kothar Ltd instructed us to provide both Architectural and Building Surveying services in respect of this project.  The client, a developer and builder, had previously obtained planning permission for 3 no. executive style residential properties on land already owned at St Marys Lane, Upminster, Essex prior to our involvement.  However, the client wished to enhance both the standard of quality and design of the properties.  This required careful re-design within the parameters of the existing planning consent and involved providing detailed drawings for construction, building regulations approval and discharge of the planning conditions.   

The client also requested that we provide regular site visits throughout the duration of the project to provide constructional advice as well as advising upon the progress and quality of the work being carried out.

In addition to providing the developer with a number of services we were also instructed by the client’s finance provider, Handlesbanken to act as Development Monitoring Surveyors.  Within this instruction we provided Handlesbanken with regular progress reports on the cost, quality and progress of the works with recommendations for the release of stage payments.
